The old english half penny has a beautiful ship on the tails side of the coin. We hammer down the heads side to produce a gentle wave-like effect before engraving a map of the world with a compass. They stopped minting the half penny in 1967 but we only use coins in perfect condition. We engrave very deeply into the coin.
