This striking wolf necklace is made of a Japanese mixed-metal called mokume-gane which we have cut by hand to resemble a wolf howling at the moon. This is a perfect jewelry piece for guys and the look never fades away.
Mokume-gane is a type of Japanese mixed-metal consisting of swirls of different metals layered in patterns as you can see in the picture. This material is unique because it gives the appearance of natural wood grain. When several layers of differently colored metals form a sandwich of alloys it's called a "billet." The billet is then manipulated in such a way that a pattern resembling wood grain emerges over its surface. Since there are numerous ways of producing the mokume gane patterns, every "wood-grain-like" structure will look slightly different from the picture! We then cut this interlocking jewelry out by hand.
